The Modulator II is an electronic siren produced by [[Federal Signal Corporation]] and is an evolution of the original [[Modulator]], being shorter, narrower and thus more compact. It is modular, containing a variable number of cells. Each active cell contains up to four 100W compression drivers and directs sound downward to the top of the cell below it, where it is redirected outward. The bottom-most cell is a dummy to direct sound from the lowest active cell. | The Modulator II is an electronic siren produced by [[Federal Signal Corporation]] and is an evolution of the original [[Modulator]], being shorter, narrower and thus more compact. The Modulator II is an electronic siren produced by Federal Signal Corporation and is an evolution of the original Modulator, being shorter, narrower and thus more compact. It is modular, containing a variable number of cells. Each active cell contains up to four 100W compression drivers and directs sound downward to the top of the cell below it, where it is redirected outward. The bottom-most cell is a dummy to direct sound from the lowest active cell.
The MOD6032 and MOD6048 models are replaced the MOD 8032B model which is a smaller more compact model.
